Wii Sports Resort, Layton top Nintendo games of 2009 in UK

ELSPA's announced that Wii Sports Resort and Professor Layton and the Curious Village were the top-selling Wii and DS games, respectively, last year in the UK.

It was announced recently that Resort sold 5 million units during its first five months on sale in Europe.

For DS, the top five also consisted of Brain Training, Professor Layton and Pandora's Box, Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros.

And for Wii, it was Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Mario Kart Wii and New Super Mario Bros. Wii, which was confirmed by Nintendo last week to have sold 2.5 million units in Europe since it was released.
