Rumor: PSP Minis to be playable on PS3 "before" Christmas

Sources close to Joystiq revealed today that PSP Minis will be playable on PS3 "before" Christmas or at least sometime this month.
The sources claim that the entire selection of Minis, and future offerings, will get a resolution bump as well.
When asked, Sony declined to comment on "rumors and speculation", so make of this what you will.
