September NPD - PS3 bested only by DS in the US

Price-cuts and Slim's launch have done wonders for PlayStation 3 in this month's NPD: the console sold over 491k in the US September.

DS was the overall best selling hardware though, with sales of 524k. Wii sold 462k, Xbox 360 managed 352k, and there were sales of 190k for PSP and 146k for PlayStation 2.
