Speaking at a Japanese retailer event, Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto has said that New Super Mario Bros Wii will "continue" to sell for many years.

"It's a Mario that will continue selling even after one year has passed," said the Mario creator.

Miyamoto was there to demo the game at the event, which was held in Tokyo yesterday.

Remember: this is one of three titles Nintendo prez Satoru Iwota expects to sell over ten million units.

Game was recently confirmed for release dates of November 15/20.
