Tokyo Game Show 2009’s recorded a dip in attendance compared to last year, drop from 194,288 in 2008 to 185,030 last week.

The show played host to some major announcements from Sony in particular, with GT5’s date being confirmed at the event and big-ticket titles such as LittleBigPlanet and Resident Evil 5 being screened using PS3’s upcoming motion controller.

Next year’s show will start on either September 16 or 17, according to Andriasang. Whether or not TGS 2010 will be a three or four-day affair hasn’t been decided as yet.
