Rumor: Alan Wake on PC is up to Microsoft

Remedy has apparently said that a PC version for Alan Wake may eventually come, but for now that decision rests solely with Microsoft.

Fansite BrightFalls(via Kotaku) says it has received a statement from Remedy which read:

Thank you for your continued interest in Alan Wake. It is accurate that we are currently working exclusively on the Xbox 360 version of Alan Wake. PC plans are currently open, and therefore it’s safe to say that at least a simultaneous launch with the Xbox version will not happen at this late stage. Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher.

Digital Spy claims to have received the same bit from Remedy as well, and we have sent an email over to confirm these statements.

If it proves to be true, it does not bode well for PC users.

Hopefully Remedy will get back with us soon.
