This Gamekyo piece claims Konami’s dropping the need for a Konami ID for online PES 2010 play.

This will come as welcome relief after the ridiculous Metal Gear Online registration clusterfucks. Supposedly, all you need do now is buy the game and go online with it, without having to add two proprietary IDs. Amazing.

Microsoft and Sony are to run the servers this time. Not Konami.
