Press release after the break.

NINTENDO DSi SALES REACH ONE MILLION

2 June 2009 – Nintendo announced that sales of Nintendo DSi have taken just eight weeks to reach the one million mark across Europe – five weeks quicker than the Nintendo DS Lite took to reach the level of sales. Coupled with this, almost 500,000 Nintendo DS have been sold across Europe in the same period.

The Nintendo DSi launched in Europe on 3rd April 2009 and is crammed with exciting new features. As well as enabling you to create, customise and share photos with friends and family, listen to and play with your favourite music and play over 1000 existing Nintendo DS games, the DSi also allows you to download new games directly to the console.
