Konami announces full GC08 line-up

Konami's confirmed it's full Games Convention line-up, including the first hands-on with PES 09.

Konami details extensive Leipzig showings!
Key members of Konami’s development teams show their wares on stage while users can get hands-on with unreleased yet unannounced products

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has confirmed its list of speakers for the Games Convention in Leipzig from August 20th – 24th. Leading developers such as Hideo Kojima and Koji ‘IGA’ Igarashi, will be discussing their work, as will key members of the teams behind Silent Hill Homecoming, Rock Revolution and the European development division.

Konami’s area (Hall 5, Booth F10) will play host to a series of presentations and signing sessions. Hideo Kojima, fresh from the success of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Online will be talking about the brand on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 13:00, and will also be signing autographs for attendees. Koji Igarashi, the creator of the Castlevania series and the new Order of Ecclesia and Castlevania Judgment titles for DS and Wii will be showing both games at midday on both days, and also signing autographs.

Silent Hill Homecoming will be represented by Thomas Hulett, who will be on stage at 14:00 on Thursday and Friday, while Dave Cox, overseer of all European R’n’D will be detailing an exciting new PLAYSTATION®3 title at 11:00 from Thursday to Saturday. Finally, Konami’s new musical epic, Rock Revolution, will be put through its paces by Niais Taylor every afternoon during the event.

Konami has also confirmed its extensive list of previously unseen playable games for the show. Eager gamers will be able to get valuable hands-on experience with PES 2009 (PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 and PC), Silent Hill Homecoming (PLAYSTATION®3 and 360), Hellboy: Science of Evil (PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360 and PSP® (PLAYSTATION®PORTABLE)), Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS), Time Hollow (DS), Eledees: The Adventures of Kai and Zero (DS), and the new DS and Wii versions of Lost in Blue 3 and Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked. A special area dedicated to the eternally popular Dancing Stage titles will also be showcasing DancingStage Universe 2 for Xbox 360 and DancingStage SuperNOVA 2 for PlayStation®2. In total, nine new products will also be announced, the majority of which will also be playable for the first time!

The Saturday of the show will also feature the annual German PES League Finals. Kicking off at 15:00, 16 of the country’s best PES players will compete in a knock-out tournament to find Germany’s entrant to this year’s European PES finals, which take place in September.
