EA: More than 40 games on the way for Wii and DS

Speaking in EA's first quarter earnings call last night, company boss John Riccitiello confirmed that the firm has more than 40 games in development for Wii and DS.

The exec said that the company's approach with the titles is a combination of "quality over quantity" and to ensure each is designed to take full advantage of each platform's unique feature set.

The news comes after Riccitiello said earlier this week that he wished EA had banked more heavily on Wii instead of 360 and PS3.

Thanks, Joystiq.
