PSN downtime paves way for video store?

An article at FragCast is speculating as to what kind of maintenance the PSN was going through when it was down, and reckons Sony may be getting ready to unveil its video store.

According to the blog, after the PSN network came back up there was a new option under Account Management on the PSN section of the XMB that allows you to activate different kinds of content, suggesting more varied entertainment may be on the way soon.

Obviously the idea of a video store coming to the PSN is just a rumor at this time, but with Firmware 2.4 and its host of new features just around the corner, we should not have to wait long to find out.
