Ubidays 2008: Endwar will have "the most epic battles ever seen in videogames"

Speaking at the Ubidays 2008 press conference in Paris, producer Julian Gerighty just said that the target for Tom Clancy's Endwar's development is simply "delivering the most epic battles ever seen in videogames."

Michael de Plater creative director of Endwar played the game for the crowd, fighting a battle in Paris in which the goal was to simply destroy all enemies. He used airstikes, tanks, helicopters and ground troops to lose horribly. Good stuff.

Gerighty said that the strategy title had so far taken three years and 200 developers working at Ubisoft's Shanghai studio top make the team's vision a reality.

The game hits this year for 360 and PS3. The Ubidays conference is ongoing.
