PS3 price increases in Far East

According to this Hardcoreware report, Sony's increased the price of PS3 in Hong Kong and Singapore by approximately $25 and $30 respectively.

"It should be noted that even with this price increase, the PS3 is still a good $25 cheaper in Hong Kong than the MSRP in North America.," said the site. "In Singapore, it’s about $44 more than in USA, so this recent price increase made it even more expensive, when it was close to par recently."

More through the link. We've seen this in a few places this morning, and no one appears to have any clue as to why the price has gone up. God moves in mysterious ways, obviously.
