Amazon worldwide sales - week ending April 10

Wii first. Big news in North America this week: for the first time since release, Super Smash Bros. Brawl has finally been knocked off its perch by a resurgent Guitar Hero III. Elsewhere, Mario Kart tops the Japanese chart on its debut, knocking Wii Fit off balance in the process, and folks from the UK can't seem to get enough of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, which beats off all competition for yet another week.

Xbox 360 in America is dominated by the best selling game of the last 12 months, Call of Duty 4, which holds the top of both the 360 and PS3 charts, although the hilariously inexpensive-compared-to-Europe Rock Band gives both versions a run for their money. R6: V2 continues to sell more than anything else for the 360 in the UK.

For PS3, Gran Turismo: Prologue keeps pole position in the UK, while Konami's Pro Yakyuu Spirits 5 holds steady for a second week running in Japan.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII continues to stave off the opposition in America, whilst the sales phenomenon that is Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G unsurprisingly heads the Amazon Japanese Charts for PSP.
