PS3 GTA IV more expensive at WHSmiths, Game and GameStation expect similar

Major UK high street retailer WHSmiths has priced the PlayStation 3 version of GTA IV at £44.99, while the 360 version will cost £5 less at £39.99.

The pricing has been confirmed as part of the chain's pre-order campaign: take a look at photos of promotional material after the link.

Speaking to videogaming247 today, both Game and GameStation store managers said they expected the PS3 version of the Rockstar title to cost more than the 360 SKU, but neither outlet has yet priced the game.

"The PS3 version will probably cost more. We're expecting an RRP from Rockstar on April 14," the GameStation staffer said. "They dictate the price, basically."

The whole thing's academic if you've got half a brain: Amazon.co.uk's offering both versions for £34.99.

GTA IV releases on April 29.
