EA charging for weapons in Battlefield: Bad Company beta

According to this, EA is to charge for extra weapons in the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company beta. In the XBLM, a total of ten weapons are locked that have text reading, "Available for purchase on Xbox Live Marketplace" next to them.

EA has yet to make any announcement regarding the news, and is unlikely to until next week, so there's a bit of confusion surrounding the issue regarding what's going to cost extra and what isn't. Apparently five are the weapons may be made available in the collector's edition of the game. Either way, you'd better start getting ready for some Korean-style micropayments in general: looks as though EA wasn't as stupid as it was cabbage-looking.
