THQ just sent word that Frontlines: Fuel of War "will become the only first person shooter to offer online multiplayer for over 50 players on a next-generation console" when it releases on Friday. The console in question is Xbox 360.

The first map to support 50 player multiplayer will be the Village, which starts off with house-to-house fighting and finished with all the buildings flattened and an OPEN FIELD OF DEATH. Check our capitals.

The 50-player limit had been rumoured before, but this is first confirmation.
