Winning Eleven moniker dropped in US

Konami’s dropped the name “Winning Eleven” for it’s American soccer titles and will instead focus on the highly successful Pro Evolution brand, according to this. The next Konami football game for the American market is now called Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, and will release on March 11.

  • PES 2008 price cut on 360 and PS2

    Konami’s announced the 360 and PS2 versions of PES 2008 will drop in price on on May 16. The 360 reissue will cost £24.99, the PlayStation 2 version priced at £19.99. Press release after the link.

    Here. There’s a lot of Flash going on there, long with some screens, tutorials, and so on. The Wii version of Pro Evo uses the Wiimote to make a very different game, from the looks of things so far, so worth taking a look.
