Major changes for Home, now for spring release

PlayStation Home has been shown for the first time since E3 last year, says this, at an Imagina 08 session in Monaco, revealing key changes to the virtual PS3 "world" and giving a new release date of spring 2008.

According to that report, the enclosed apartment shown last year at GDC and E3 has been replaced with a "serene" outside space "with plenty of room for people to interact, and tables with fully functional chess and draughts games included."

Other key content-providing areas of Home, such as the cinema - where you buy films to download - and the bowling alley have been completely revamped to make them more recognisable. All these changs have been made in response to user feedback, Sony chaps John Venables and Ron Festejo said suring the demo.

Hot stuff, this, so definitely take a look at the full report. Expect a full showing of Home at GDC next month.
