Zoo Tycoon developer Blue Fang lets 15 staffers go

Zoo Tycoon developer Blue Fang has announced that it has reduced its staff by 15, citing the action as “necessary”.
According to the company website the team made redundant had developed a successful proprietary tool and tech to make “multi-platform products in less time and with significantly fewer resources”, reports Joystiq.
The new tech allows Blue Fang to “adjust both the size and mix of [the] development team going forward”.
World of Zoo, the company’s latest title, is expected to be released on DS, PC and Wii this autumn.

Zoo Tycoon makers to release World Zoo sometime this year

Blue Fang, National Geographic and THQ today announced World of Zoo forDS, PC and Wii.
It’s made by the Zoo Tycoon guys.
The game lets you care for 90 different animals, create your own park with 20 exhibits, and mad scientist design unique creatures.
Ok we made up the “mad scientist” bit, but what else would you call “creating your own creatures”.
It’s expected by the end of the year.

GameTap adding Fable, Ages, and other Microsoft PC titles to service

GameTap has entered into an agreement with Microsoft Games to bring some of its PC titles to subscription-based service
Here are the ones added so far:
- Age of Mythology
- Age of Empires 2
- Rise of Nations
- Freelancer
- Fable: The Lost Chapters
- Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries
- Zoo Tycoon series
European and North American subscribers can start the downloading frenzy as of today.
