The Elder Scrolls Online has a new video detailing the systems players will use to build the character they want to play and explore Tamriel with. Have a look at character progression in action below. ESO is currently in beta and upon release will launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The Elder Scrolls Online isn’t our first visit to Tamriel, but the new map Zenimax Online has put together for the upcoming MMO gives us a new way to explore. At present, the map only shows a handful of regions belonging to the three factions, so you can’t go poking about in the Imperial City, but you can explore stretches of Skyrim, Morrowind and Hammerfell, among others, finding bits of lore, artwork and screenshots. Check it out here. TESO is coming to Mac, PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2014; a major wave of beta invites went out this week.

The Elders Scrolls Online developer ZeniMax Online Studios has posted a fan Q&A in which the studio answers questions about its MMO’s many dungeons. Based on the teams responses it seems that most dungeons will be geared towards team play, rather than the solo quests see in previous Elder Scrolls games.

Zenimax Online has released a second short story from The Elder Scrolls Online, This one is all about Ayrenn, The Unforseen Queen, who leads the Aldmeri Dominion. This alliance of High Elves, Wood Elves and Khajiit claim an inherited right to the Ruby Throne and for all their talk of patience and selflessness don’t have any allies among the three human races.
