Nintendo Direct: EarthBound, Pikmin 3, A Link to the Past
Nintendo hosted Nintendo Direct sessions in both North America and Europe today, announcing a new installment in the Mario Party series for 3DS, release dates for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, the Virtual Console release of Earthbound or Mother 2 if you will, and a 2014 release for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy in the west.

Scribblenauts Unlimited: Mario & Zelda shots reveal secret easter eggs
Scribblenauts Unlimited is heading to Wii U in February. I’ve been playing it this week to write an impressions piece which you can read right here next week. Along the way I’ve discovered tons of neat Nintendo easter eggs, such as being able to give Mario a mushroom power up to have him turn into a giant, or have Link jam out a tune on the Ocarina of Time. Nintendo has sent us some shots of the easter eggs in action, and you check out our gallery below.

Retro Studios Wii U title is definitely not Zelda

New story details and characters revealed for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Nintendo has announced new details regarding the introductory storyline in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which features new story elements will lay foundation for the events that occur in the rest of the series.

Quite a few Skyward Sword screens hit the net
As part of its exclusive, month long coverage of he Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, GameInformer has posted several screenshots from the game, featuring: Silent Realm, the World Above The Clouds, the Eldin Volcano and Fire Temple locations, and even a bit of dowsing. Nintendo just said that the 3DS reboot of Ocarina of Time will ship on June 19 in the US. It’s also coming out June 17 in Europe.

Robin Williams talks about playing online, naming his daughter Zelda

Robin Williams has told folks in the past that his daughter was named after The Legend of Zelda, but to our knowledge this is the first time he has mentioned that he plays online.
He mentioned it while as a guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Yeah. Fallon.
We know this is not technically news, but it’s Saturday which is normally slow anyway and it’s a holiday weekend in the states so it’s worse than usual.
Anyway, it’s posted below the break from YouTube. There’s a better video of it on Hulu (via GoNintendo), but we’ve heard folks outside the US can’t view those videos.
