Nintendo Direct: EarthBound, Pikmin 3, A Link to the Past

Nintendo hosted Nintendo Direct sessions in both North America and Europe today, announcing a new installment in the Mario Party series for 3DS, release dates for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, the Virtual Console release of Earthbound or Mother 2 if you will, and a 2014 release for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy in the west.

Scribblenauts Unlimited: Mario & Zelda shots reveal secret easter eggs

Scribblenauts Unlimited is heading to Wii U in February. I’ve been playing it this week to write an impressions piece which you can read right here next week. Along the way I’ve discovered tons of neat Nintendo easter eggs, such as being able to give Mario a mushroom power up to have him turn into a giant, or have Link jam out a tune on the Ocarina of Time. Nintendo has sent us some shots of the easter eggs in action, and you check out our gallery below.

Quite a few Skyward Sword screens hit the net

Robin Williams talks about playing online, naming his daughter Zelda

Robin Williams has told folks in the past that his daughter was named after The Legend of Zelda, but to our knowledge this is the first time he has mentioned that he plays online.

He mentioned it while as a guest on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Yeah. Fallon.

We know this is not technically news, but it’s Saturday which is normally slow anyway and it’s a holiday weekend in the states so it’s worse than usual.

Anyway, it’s posted below the break from YouTube. There’s a better video of it on Hulu (via GoNintendo), but we’ve heard folks outside the US can’t view those videos.
