A royalty listing on music-licensing site The Royalty Network has suggest Your Shape is in the works for Wii U by Ubisoft.

Kinect review round-up OF DOOM: everything in one place!

The embargo’s officially lifted on Kinect, and boy was it damming back a serious flood of content. As in, this may be the Internet’s Noah’s Ark. Seriously people, grab two of whatever rodent happens to be scurrying through your house, build a boat, and jump past the break. Oh, and don’t forget to bring a paddle. And some tissues. Jenny McCarthy featured in Ubisoft’s Your Shape

Ubisoft has announced that Jenny McCarthy will be featured in its new fitness game, Your Shape.
Scheduled to be released worldwide this Holiday 2009, Your Shape is the first fitness video game that enables people to work-out controller-free with a camera peripheral utilizing motion tracking technology.
“I am thrilled to be working with Ubisoft on Your Shape,” said Jenny. “The features in the game are incredible, and you have to see the technology to believe it. I was blown away. I truly believe in the importance of fitness, and [the game] is the perfect way to get a truly interactive, personalized workout on Wii.
“Given how busy we all are these days, especially once you have kids, it is important to find the most effective way to keep fit from the comfort of home.”
Jenny will host the game and be your pal during the workouts.
There goes most women’s sense of body image down the toilet.

Ubisoft provides more details for Your Shape

Ubisoft announced Your Shape at E3 last week, and today the publisher has detailed the game and its technology a bit more.
“The game will scan your body and then project the image onto the TV, creating a personalized and interactive workout”, said a company statement. “Based on your specific body shape analysis, fitness level and personal goals, Your Shape is able to recommend the workout program that is best suited for you.”
Your Shape also includes a virtual coach that provides motivation.
“The development of the new camera for Wii and our Body Tracking technology means that Your Shape will offer an interactive experience that is a technological breakthrough in gaming, as well as in the fitness category,” said Ubi bossman Yves Guillemot.
The company also claims that the title will include “more exercises than any other fitness game”, and will come bundled with the camera.
Game’s expected to hit retail in time for the holidays.

Ubisoft announces fitness game, Your Shape – uses a camera

Ubisoft has announced a fitness game that uses a camera to scan your body. It’s called Your Shape.
The camera places you in the game, like you are looking in a mirror, keeps track of you, so you can’t cheat through the game like in WiiFit and constantly adjusts to your needs.
It’s coming to Wii this holiday season.
