Xbox 360 update fixes video color issues
Microsoft has announced the latest Xbox 360 update will fix color issues some users have been reporting since the dashboard update in December. The system update is mandatory, and will be applied when you log into Xbox Live on your console. According to Major Nelson, the update increases performance and “is part of our continued effort to provide the best possible Xbox LIVE experience.” He also notes that the color issues, once the patch is applied, will be immediately notable through the dashboard. The fix is also being applied by partners to apps on Xbox Live, which will be tolled out over the coming months.

Report: New disc format for Xbox 360 adds 1GB of space
A “highly placed” development source close to Digital Foundry has said that the “updated Xbox 360 disc format,” being tested by Microsoft will add 1GB storage for the console’s game discs.

Xbox Live mandatory update is for wireless adapter WPA2 support

If you have yet to fire up your Xbox 360 today, when you do, please be advised that message noting a mandatory system update will greet you.
Should you go online, that is.
Anyway, don’t get too excited. You won’t be Tweeting or Facebooking afterward – it’s just an update for the wireless adapter.
If you plan on getting the new 802.11N wireless adapter next month, you’ll need this update.
