Xbox 360 firmware update causing issues with Wireless Racing Wheel, other peripherals
Microsoft has confirmed the Xbox 360 firmware update applied on June 12 has caused issues to arise with the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel controller. The firm told CVG it is “actively working to resolve this as soon as possible ,” and users are reporting that while the update also caused issues with peripherals from Fanatec and MadCatz, the June 20 update fixed the issue with at least the one from Fanatec. However, users are now reporting the June 20 update has caused issues with the peripherals made by Datel. MadCatz has said it has recieved no notice of an issue between its peripherals and either the Xbox Live update.

Previous Xbox 360 firmware update causing disc read errors, not the one in beta
It looks as though “a very small number of Xbox 360 owners” are experiencing disc read errors when applying a mandatory firmware update, but according to Major Nelson, the issue has arisen from a previous firmware update, and not the system update currently in public beta which is scheduled to start rolling out tomorrow.
