Minecraft XBLA update fixes Zombie Pigmen
You know that pesky bug in Minecraft that prevents Zombie Pigmen from being counted for leaderboard scores? No, neither do I; but it’s just one of a host of things to be patched in an update out today for the XBLA version of Mojang’s sandbox title. The update will also add a host of features and fixes that include autosave, and resolve problems entering the Nether and graphical issues with stairs.

Minecraft claims most day-one XBLA sales but Fez developer unhappy at preferential treatment
Minecraft has overtaken Trials Evolution to set a new day-one sales record on the Xbox Live Arcade release, but Fez developer Polytron has claimed that Mojang was given special treatment not available to other studios.

Toy Soldiers: Cold War announced, heading to PAX
Signal Studios has announced that Toy Soldiers: Cold War will be shown for the first time at PAX East this weekend, sticking up some gameplay details on its site. The next in the Toy Soldiers series “blends intense first person combat with addictive action strategy,” apparently. It’s an XBLA release in “late Spring/Summer 2011.” Thanks, EG.

Magic: The Gathering XBLA title passes 500,000 sales on XBLA

UK-made Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers has now sold more than 500,000 units on XBLA, developer Stainless Games said today.
