Blizzard has added an in-game store to the World of Warcraft client, meaning you no longer need to alt-tab out to the web-based store when you espy a mount or pet you simply cannot live without. The developer is now expected to begin implementing other up-to-the-minute next-gen features like metal tools instead of those clumsy old stone things, and planting fields rather than just wandering around hoping enough food grows in the wild. Pets and mounts are currently on sale, by the way.

World of Warcraft players can now test patch 5.4.2 through the game’s Public Test Realms. The changes coming with the update affect raids, dungeons, warriors, the Cross-Realm raid browser, mail, and more. You can head through here to glance at the patch notes if you like.

The Warcraft movie has been pushed back a couple of months from December 18, 2015 to March 11, 2016, according to a Variety report. It’s one of a couple of changes Universal and Legendary have made to their release schedule, and no explanation was given – but speculation blames the new Star Wars movie, which opens on Warcraft’s original release date. World of Warcraft’s Pilgrim’s Bounty event is back. Full of virtual food and rewards, the festival contains tables filled with Thanksgiving fare outside the major cities where players can sit and gobble down the vittles. Daily cooking quests will be doled out, trainers, vendors, and more will be around and you will earn cosmetic rewards and the Plump Turkey pet for completing quests and participating in the festivities. Blizzard has won another lawsuit against creators of bot programs developed to run with World of Warcraft. The latest legal battle lasted two years and was between the MMO developer and Ceiling Fan Software, which is now facing a $7 million judgment and ordered to cease operating – as you can see through the official website. In 2011 Blizzard won a lawsuit against the maker of Glider, one of the biggest and most notorious bot software programs of its time, which resulted in the company walking away with all of the trademarks associated with the program. World of Warcraft Patch 5.3 is now available on the Public Test Realms, and the update comes with a new Battleground and Arena, new Scenarios some Heroic, new Brawler’s Guild Bosses, assorted bug fixes, and lots more. The patch notes can be found through Battle.net, and as is always the case, things may change before the final release, so keep that in mind.

Blizzard has announced a feature-limited in-game browser to replace its current support system. Pulling it up will take you straight to the Battle.net Support site. Blizzard has never implemented such a system before and is looking for testers to check it out on the public test realm and make sure it’s working properly before going live; more details are available in a developer blog post.
