Team17 has announced that a title update was released for Worms 2: Armageddon on Xbox Live Arcade.

The free update includes design changes, gameplay tweaks and a large list of fixes, which are posted below the break.

It was also announced that more DLC is planned for release during the early part of 2010, but no details on that were provided.

Worms 2: Armageddon will eventually be released for Mac, according to Team 17.

No exact release date has been provided, but for now gamers can be satisfied with the Xbox Live release that has scored a 82 percent on Metacritic.

According to Gamespot, Team17′s Worms 2: Armageddon has been given a July 1 release date for XBLA.

It’ll set you back $10.

The first XBLA game is still one of the top five performers on the service, the sequel being “initially exclusive to Xbox Live Arcade.”

Team 17 have released three new trailers for Worms 2: Armageddon.

W2A will feature the return of fire, the electromagnet, and the addition of player reactions which has the worms react emotionally to their current situation.

The footage shows a magnet repelling an airstrike, a worm panicking and the use of fire in the game.

Team17 has posted some XBLA Worms information on its Facebook page.

Apparently, the new game’s now called Worms 2: Armageddon, and includes Avatar support and vertical levels.

The upcoming PSN Worms game will be an expanded port of the current XBLA offering, with improved physics and 1080p display.
