Words with Friends creators Paul and David Bettner exit Zynga
Words with Friends creators, Paul and David Bettner, have departed Zynga. The duo, which previously worked for Ensemble Studios before it was shuttered by Microsoft, sold their company Newtoy to Zynga for $53.3 million last year. The brothers are the latest on the list of executives to leave the firm in recent months joining: John Schappert, Jeff Karp, Allan Leinwand, Mike Verdu, Nils Puhlmann, Bill Mooney, Brian Birtwistle, and Wilson Kriegel. Microsoft – Windows Phone 8 is “a complete gaming platform”
Microsoft corporate vice president Terry Myerson took the stage today at Windows Phone presentation to announce and discuss Windows Phone 8, calling the new phone ” a breath of fresh air,” and it will be released in time for the holidays this fall.

Zynga issues Words With Friends survey as MAU drops by 2 million
Zynga has released a survey asking Word With Friends players how it can improve the game. Monthly users of the game have dropped by 2 million from 20.2 million MAU to 18.3 MAU in the last 30 days according to Appdata. The survey is asking players what would make them return to the Scrabble-like title, and what it can do in order for users to play more often. Some of the questions posted relate to advertisements, in-game hints, and technical improvements. Thanks, Edge.
