Wolfenstein 3D out now on XBLA

Wolfenstein 3D is now available through XBLA as promised. It was released earlier this week on the PS Store for PS3 and will be coming soon to the service in Europe, according to Bethesda. It will run you $4.99/400 MS Points.

Wolfenstein 3D re-rated on Xbox Live & PSN, May 31st release date emerges

Wolfenstein 3D has been re-certified for Xbox 360 and PS3 by the ESRB, and has spawned a new Xbox Live Arcade page with a May 31st release date. Given the recent reveal of Wolfenstein: The New Order, it’s certainly a curious thing.

Wolfenstein 3D turns 20, gets browser version and Steam sale

Bethesda’s announced the original Wolfenstein 3D is now free-to-play as a browser game as part of the game’s 20th anniversary celebration. Grab it here. The Platinum Edition of 3D for iOS is also being offered for free for a limited time here, and the game is 75% off on Steam. You could also just go nuts and buy the Wolf Pack on Steam for $3.75 which includes Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, or the rather awesome Super id Software Pack which includes 20 id games for $49.99. Decisions, decisions.

Wolfenstein 3D heading to PSN and XBL next week

Activision and id Software announced today that Wolfenstein 3D will be available for download June 3 on Xbox Live and June 4 on PSN.

It’s the full thing featuring all six episodes spanning 60 levels.

No word on price, but we’ll let you know when it gets one.

Wolfenstein XBLA confirmed

An XBLA version of Wolfenstein 3D’s been confirmed by Activision, according to IGN.

There’s no date on it as yet, and it’s without multiplayer, as was the original. In fact, it almost certainly is the original.

But people will buy it. Why not? Hit the link for more.

The ESRB’s rated Wolfenstein 3D for 360 and PS3, as you can see here.

There’s no detail at all, but this is almost certainly planned to coincide with the release of Raven’s new Wolfenstein this summer.

Wolfenstein released for iPhone, Doom on the way

John Carmack’s put out an open source version of the original Wolfenstein for iPhone, as you can see in this ludicrously detailed document on VE3D.

DOOM’s on the way as well, said the developer.

“I’m going back to Rage for a while, but I do expect Classic Doom to come fairly soon for the iPhone,” he said at the bottom of his notes.
