Wizards of the Coast has said it would “absolutely consider” licensing its Planescape Dungeons & Dragons setting, despite suggestions from InXile that the publisher had shut down negotiations.

WOTC has announced Magic: The Gathering: Duels of the Planewalkers 2013 for a summer release on PS3, 360, Steam and iPad. The effort, which will launch alongside the new pack of cards for the 2013 season, will see players go against Planeswalker Nicol Bolas. I have no idea what that means, but go nuts, Magic peeps.

Siliconera has dug up a Korea’s Game Rating Board rating for Magic: The Gathering – Duels Of The Planeswalkers 2013, which was filed by Microsoft Korea. Wizards of the Coast hasn’t officially announced a sequel to Duels Of The Planeswalkers 2012, but still, the information is there for your consideration anyway. The site points out that while the listing may have been filed under Microsoft, it doesn’t mean it will be an Xbox 360 exclusive. Last year’s version was also released on PS3 and Steam alongside the 360 version.

There’ll be geek frenzy about this. Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that it’s to release two Magic: The Gathering games on XBLA.
The two games will apparently supplement the already-running Magic: The Gathering Online, whch boasts over 350,000 active accounts.
In case you don’t know, Magic: The Gathering is a collectible card strategy game. One that will never, ever die.
