Red 5 Studios and Webzen settle legal disputes over FireFall

Red 5 Studios has announced it has entered into a settlement agreement with Webzen, to resolve legal disputes filed on both sides, which inlcudes the withdrawal of all pending legal claims.

Huxley: The Dystopia gets teaser site with countdown

huxleyWebzen has a teaser site for Huxley: The Dystopia up, complete with a countdown timer.

Gotta love a tease.

The site includes a flash video featuring game footage, and it looks rather awesome.

The MMOFPS is for PC and Xbox 360, and there’s still no release date – we’re getting a bit antsy for it.

Huxley enters open beta in Korea

According to this press release, Webzen MMOFPS Huxley’s entered open beta in South Korea.

“Huxley is a creative, thrilling and immersive adventure, and we are excited to open the break-through game to the mass public for the first time anywhere in the world,” said Webzen meta-king Nam Ju Kim.

“Huxley combines the unmatched Unreal Engine 3-based first-person shooting action with Webzen’s proprietary networking technology for an online gaming experience like no other. We are expecting great results from the Korean beta, leading to broad anticipation and excitement for Huxley all around the world.”

Still no date on this for Europe. For shame. Out in the US this year.

NHN to launch Huxley in “late 2008″

NHN USA just put out a press release saying MMOFPS Huxley is to release in the US in “late 2008″.

The American arm of the Korean internet giant will release the Webzen game via ijji.com.

“Huxley is one of the most anticipated online games currently in development, and we are very excited to bring the triple-A title to Western audiences,” said NHN USA boss Whon Namkoong.

“Huxley provides gamers with a unique and compelling experience that gamers everywhere are sure to enjoy. The revolutionary online shooter is a welcome addition to ijji.com, the site where millions of fans can play it later this year.”

Huxley release gets even further away

According to this, Webzen’s MMOFPS Huxley is still some way off. The Xbox 360 SKU is six months behind the PC outing, which is going to take another six months to localise from its native Korean.

The game is due out on PC in Korea in the first half of this year, apparently. We had no idea Webzen was even still working on this.
