WayForward’s Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Kickstarter is a success with $811,962 in total pledges with PayPal donations factored in to the total. The developer earned enough with stretch goal pledges to add the Risky Boots Mode, two bonus chapters, and three additional costumes. PayPal will remain open for the remaining stretech goals and will go towards the reward tiers as well. Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is headed to PC, PlayStation 3, PS4, Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Thanks, LegendaryBoss.

Regular Show: Mordecai and Rigby in 8-Bit Land will be released on 3DS on October 29, D3Publisher has announced. The WayForward title will be published by Namco Bandai in Europe and is the first game created for the series with input by creator J. G. Quintel. It will release in Europe on November 8 and in Australia on November 12.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has landed on Kickstarter. The WayForward title stars a human/genie hybrid who can hair-whip monsters with her ponytail, and belly dances to transform into magical creatures.

WayForward has released another developer diary for DuckTales: Resmatsered in which the studio discusses where it drew its inspiration from when redesigning Scrooge McDuck, Magica De Spell, and other Disney characters for the game. Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW!, which is coming to the US, Australia and Europe, has some screens box art and a trailer available below. It was also announced that the new Regular Show game, Mordecai and Rigby In 8-Bit Land will be a 3DS exclusive. Assets for this game are below as well.

Mighty Switch Force! 2 will be released on the eShop for 3DS next week on June 13 in North America and on June 27 in Europe. To celebrate, WayForward has released an awesome trailer for it. Just be sure to turn your speakers down a bit. Enjoy below.

A new Adventure Time game is heading to 3DS, PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbxo 360 courtesy of D3 Publisher and WayForward. The developers is also working on a Regular Show game for 3DS.

A $40 collector’s edition for Adventure Time has turned up on GameStop, sporting a sword-shaped stylus, poster, art book and steelbook packagaing. Naturally you’re all over that, and thankfully, the retailer told Joystiq the package isn’t exclusive to GameStop, so check with your local store before accepting the $30 standard edition. WayForward has told Siliconera it plans to update its Nintendo eShop game, Mighty Switch Force, with enhanced 3D effects and a “quick retry option.” Rumors of the update were circulating the net earlier today, and while the company confirmed the legitimacy of the claim, it said it would provide more details as well as a release window at a later date.

Wayforward has announced it’s working with Majesco on a Double Dragon update for PSN and Xbox Live titled Double Dragon: Neon. The 80s style reboot is scheduled for a July release. According to IGN, the game stars the Billy and Jimmy Lee who are fighting many a brute in order to rescue Marian from the clutches of the evil villain Skullmageddon. The gameplay consists of the original’s classic, 2D side-scrolling action with a bit of an “80s flair.” Sounds fun. Hit up the link for more information.

An Adventure Time game is being made for DS, the show’s creator Pendleton Ward has announced on Twitter. Ward initially said the title was for 3DS, but clarified it was for the original DS. Alongside tweeting bits of art confirming its existance, he also said development would come from WayForward.

“At its core, BloodRayne: Betrayal is about balls-to-the-wall action, platforming insanity, and gameplay, gameplay, gameplay. Ninja Gaiden was a major influence for BloodRayne’s combat. I think that game has some of the best combat of all time. The platforming is inspired by a host of games, notably Mega Man X.”
