Pure Chess hits PSN in this week’s update
The Vita’s delightful touch screen was just made for board games, and although that’s less true of the Dual Shock, Pure Chess is on its way to both Sony systems in this week’s PlayStation Store update. Developer VooFoo Studios boasts of a complete teaching suite and ten levels of difficulty verified by a grandmaster, as well local and asynchronous online multiplayer. It looks terrifically shiny. It’s chess. What else do you want from me? Visit the US PS Blog for more information.

Really Big Sky sequel headed to PSN
Indie developers Boss Baddie and VooFoo Studios have combined forces to create Big Sky Infinity, a follow up to popular procedurally generated PC shooter Really Big Sky. The sequel brings twin-stick shooting back to consoles thanks to a deal with Ripstone Publishing, and is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and Vita some time this year. You can check out the original through most digital distributors, while the sequel will sport new enemies, game modes, and touch controls for the Vita release.
