Darksiders 2 live-action trailer marks the arrival of Death
THQ has released a brand new live-action trailer for Darksiders 2 titled ‘The Last Sermon’. The trailer shows a priest chanting a ritual as Death makes an entry into this world, beforefighting thousands of evil minions. Darksiders 2 releases on August 14 in the US for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. You can watch the trailer after the break.

Darksiders II Wii U features under a “strict gag order”

Darksiders II Collector’s Edition to release in Europe
THQ will release the Collector’s Edition of Darksiders II in Europe which includes the contents of the Limited Edition, plus a life-sized replica Death Mask with stand. It also comes with the Shadow of Death armour and a scythe set with enhanced stats, a digital copy of the soundtrack and a hard cover art book. A code to download the first single-player DLC pack for the game known as Argul’s Tomb will be included as part of the Limited Edition contents. It will run you £79.99 and was announced for the US back in March for $99. Game’s out in August on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A Wii U version is expected around the console’s launch.

Darksiders 2 – final Behind the Mask video tells Death’s story
The third video in the Behind the Mask series for Darksiders II has been released. It focuses on the game’s storyline. Watch it below courtesy of Gamespot. Darksiders 2 is expected on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in August, with a Wii U version in the cards as well.

WH40K: Dark Millennium no longer an MMO, lay-offs at Vigil, Relic
THQ has announced Warhammer 40,000: Dark Millennium Online is no longer an MMO, and the titles will be “refocused” as “an immersive single-player and online multiplayer experience with robust digital content, and engaging community features.” The resulting change has led to lay-offs at Vigil and Relic.

Vigil: Wii U has plenty to work with, “manage memory” issues with Darksiders II PS3 development
Marvin Donald, game director for Darksiders II, has said the Wii U version will look a lot like the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the title, due to the console’s horsepower. He also makes no mention as to whether the team had to do any “wacky stuff” on the Nintendo version, like Vigil had to do on PS3.
