This looks fucking mint. A GT video preview of Darksiders – after the break – has shown off a heap of gameplay features from the imminent devily actioner, revealing a sandbox environment, glidey wings, dungeons, GoW-style bosses and tons more.
There’s also a clip there of Mark Hamill doing one of the voices. This merely adds to the awesome.

Darksiders: Ask Vigil anything you want to know about the game

Vigil has kindly allowed us to send over some questions regarding its upcoming Rapture infused action title, Darksiders.
Before we start asking the development team what it eats for breakfast, how many people have been worked to death, and why War’s horse (Ruin) does not turn him into a pile of ash as he rides it – we thought we would see if there was anything you – the readers – would like to know.
Post your questions in the comments section, and if we choose your question, you will be forever immortalized through the interview and be looked upon with awe and envy amongst your peers.
We are sending this off later today, so to get you enough reference material, click this link for a list of previous posts on the game.
Hop to it!

Warhammer 40K MMO – first bits of art
Kotaku’s just posted the first imagery from THQ’s 40K MMO – go see.
This has been locked down tighter than Dennis Nielsen until now. Don’t expect too much yet, but at least these do show that you shouldn’t scared if you thought anyone was going to deviate from the IP’s general feel.
It’s being developed in Texas by Vigil. No date.

Darksiders trailer has Marlboro voice, awesome
THQ just dropped over a new Darksiders trailer, and it’s looking distinctly non-shit. See for yourself after the break.
The game’s all about twatting demons with a big sword, by the look of it. Expect chanting, angels and hellish violence.
January 8, PS3 and 360.

Tabletop heritage will affect 40K MMO, says Vigil
Vigil Games’ General Manager David Adams has added plenty of intriguing info on the upcoming Warhammer 40K MMO in this PC Gamer interview – printed in its entirety after being piece-mealed here last month – including an assurance that the franchise’s tabletop past will lend a helping hand on the action’s direction.
“Let me say that this game will be an RPG,” he said. “That needs to be said, because when someone thinks of a Warhammer 40,000 MMO there is definitely some question as to the style of play: will it be an FPS, an RTS, or some other genre altogether? Relic has the RTS angle covered with the awesome Dawn of War series – we are making an RPG.
“However, that doesn’t mean that aspects of the tabletop don’t influence the style of play we present to the player. As I mentioned earlier, just the inclusion of ranged weapons as a dominant form of combat changes the basic underlying mechanics of a typical MMO. This leads to similar tactics that you might employ in the tabletop, such as cover, suppression fire, flanking, etc… If you think about it, ‘Group’ is a just another way of saying ‘Squad’.”
The game’s very far off right now, and has no release date.
There are two bits of concept art over there as well, which are the first seen for the game, as far as we know.

First Warhammer 40K MMO details
Courtesy of CVG via the latest issue of the UK’s PC Gamer.
- Combat includes cover, suppressive fire and flanking.
- Firefights will take place on a larger scale than those planned in WAR.
- “All of the races important to Warhammer 40,000 lore (not to mention the fans) will be represented”, creative director Joe Madureira has explained, adding that “we want each and every race to have weight in the game world… and feel distinct.”
- There’ll be “tons of stuff hanging off your character, weapons, scrolls… we are going to have the coolest looking characters of any MMO, ever,” said Madureira. “Once we begin releasing images, feel free to call me on that.”
- “Players”, PC Gamer says, “will get to explore cities, alien temples, Chaos shrines, deserted battlefields (er, woo?), mysterious ruins, ancient structures, and – here’s the cool one – ‘drifting hulks in space’. Space hulks, we call those”.
It’s still years off, but that should easily be enough to keep the faithful excited. More through the link.
