Left 4 Dead patch allows survivors to come out of the closet

Valve has released a patch fixing a few things that were wonky in the Crash Course bit of Left 4 Dead.
It’s over on Steam.
Looks like you can let the survivors out of the closet in Versus mode now.
The full list:
- Fixed campaign image not updating correctly when creating a lobby
- Increased the reliability of the Steam Group server display
- Made mm_dedicated_search_maxping available to allow users to set the maximum acceptable ping for a dedicated server. The default has also been lowered 150ms, down from 300ms
- Fixed an issue where rescue closet doors could be opened in Crash Course in Versus mode

RE5 Versus mode launches, is a giant 1.86Mb in size

Resident Evil 5′s Versus mode is now available, according to this MSXbox story, and weighs in at, um, 1.86Mb.
At least it won’t take you long to download it.
The patch costs 400 Microsoft Points, or $4.99 on PSN.

Resident Evil 5 Versus DLC out tomorrow

Resident Evil 5′s Versus DLC releases for both PS3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow, Capcom’s confirmed.
Two modes are included: Slayer’s Rule and Survivor’s Rule. There’s lots of killing in both.
It’s 400 MS Points, or $5 if you’re buying from PSN.

“Versus” DLC confirmed for Resident Evil 5

Capcom’s confirmed an online Versus mode for Resident Evil 5, to arrive in the form of DLC.
The content “adds a deadly twist to Resident Evil 5’s multiplayer, pitting players against each other in a contest of survival, a marked departure from the central co-operative nature of the game.”
It’s releasing in a “few weeks” and will cost 400 MS Points or $3.99 on PSN.
