NPD drops weekly PC charts

NPD won’t release any more PC charts, the research firm’s told Shacknews.
It will still issue monthly PC sales charts to the public, with full data, obviously, going to paying clients.
It’s the end of an era. Never more will we be able to write “Sims tops US PC charts” 40 billion fucking times in a row.

US PC charts – Sims leads for week ending June 6

The Sims 3 tops the US PC charts for the week ending June 6, with Sims products taking all three top slots.

Sims 2 leads pre-E3 US PC chart

The Sims 2′s topped the US PC chart for the last week in May, with the game likely to be replaced by the now-launched Sims 3 next week.

US PC charts for week ending May 16 – Fallout 3 is back

Basically, its was musical chairs again this week on the US PC charts. Only difference is that Fallout 3 is back in the Top 10 Bejeweled Twist is out of it.

US PC charts for week ending May 9 – musical chairs at best

The US PC charts don’t change much from week to week, ya know. The titles just play musical chairs.
World of Warcraft traded places with the Battle Chest, Spore went from number nine to seven, Empire: Total War and the Fallout Trilogy both went down a notch and Bejeweled knocked Demigod out of the top ten.

NPD has released a list of the 10 best-selling PC games at US retailers for the week of April 26 – May 2.
World of Warcraft always fills the charts. When it doesn’t, expect the Earth to spontaneously collapse on itself.

US PC charts – Demigod takes third

It may have been pirated to the ends of the earth and beyond, but Stardock’s Demigod still managed to take third place in the PC chart this week, beating off Tales of Valor to fourth position.

GTA IV finds US PC chart tough to crack
NPD’s put out the US PC chart for the week ending December 6, and it’s a hard case story for GTA IV.
The new Rockstar SKU failed to get passed the big Holiday favourites, recording a seventh place in its first week at retail.
