Uncharted: Golden Abyss may be the recipient of collectible card DLC if a shot of a game glitch taken is any indication. The card shown over on NeoGAF shows a Fortune card referring to Artifacts. Sony Bend has said previously that any extra content for the game would be “something different” for the Uncharted series, but as usual, until confirmation is received file this away as rumor.

Sony’s lifted the embargo on reviews for the first-party launch line-up for PlayStation Vita following the announcement of UK download prices earlier. GameStop’s across the US now have Vita on hand as well as some lovely game for you to try out before the system launches on February 22. Over 3,300 stores will have a unit for you to get your paws on, as well as the following games: EA SPORTS FIFA Soccer, Escape Plan, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Virtua Tennis 4: World Tour Edition, and WipeOut 2048.

Speaking to the PlayStation Blog, Sony has revealed the two most popular games during the PlayStation Vita Japanese launch. The two chart-topping games were Everybody’s Golf and Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
Sony has not yet announced how many units those two games sold. However, Eurogamer notes that the Japanese sales charts are due to be released tomorrow, so we shouldn’t have to wait long for more info.

Sony has released ten new videos from its PS Vita showcase event, held at Vita Hill Social Club in San Francisco recently. Below the break you will find 11 videos for: Uncharted – Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Escape Plan, Hot Shots Golf, Hustle Kings, LittleBigPlanet, Reality Fighters, Little Deviants, Super Stardust Delta, Unit 13, and WipeOut 2048 for good measure. Apparently, one isn’t new, but we can’t really tell anymore we’ve watched so many. So, just know 10 of them are. Hit the break to watch for yourself.

Sony’s shown off about 15 minutes worth of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, showing off some of the touch screen and touchpad capabilities for solving puzzles and climbing that I got to try with the game back at gamescom, as well as using traditional controls. Golden Abyss, made at Sony Bend, will be a launch title for the handheld when it releases in Japan on Saturday and in Europe and the US on February 22.

Those looking to grab a Vita ahead of its Western release will be relieved to know there’s at least one import-friendly launch game. IGN reports the Hong Kong version of Uncharted: Golden Abyss will support both Chinese and English – it’s not clear whether this refers to subtitles or dubbing, but you will at least be able to understand what’s going on.
The Vita releases in Japan on December 17 and reaches Hong Kong and Taiwan on December 22 and 23; other international territories have to wait until February 22. Import prices have soared in response to limited stock and significant pre-order demand in both Hong Kong and Japan.

A gazillion screenshots for PS Vita games have been released – well, maybe not a gazillion, but 200 at least. Shots include art and in-game screens from: Everybody’s Golf, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Resistance: Burning Skies, Sound Shapes, Super StarDust Delta, Top Darts, MotorStorm RC, Lumines, Gravity Rush, Michael Jackson The Experience, Reality Fighters, Escape Plan, Hustle Kings, Little Deviants, and LittleBigPlanet. According to a Japanese report, some Vita games will require a memory card for saving in-game, regardless of if they’re bought at digital or at retail.

John Garvin, writer and director of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, has put together video walk-through of the game’s two levels shown at TGS this week. He took great pleasure in highlighting the important elements to be found in the demo, from the great visual effects to top-notch voice-overs by Nolan North, and much more. Uncharted: Golden Abyss is scheduled to release as part of Vita’s launch line-up on December 17. You can watch the video below.
