Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Free-to-Play has a new bit of DLC available today called Oddball which has something to do with Extraterrestrial Abductions Day -a day I have never heard of myself, to be honest. I am sure my brother has, though. Anyway, alongside the DLC, many other Oddball parts will be available for purchase through the in-game store or the PlayStation Store after PSN updates today in North America. New DLC will be made available for purchase every month until June. Alongside today’s DLC are new Tournament rewards include the Gas Mask Gun and Gas Mask Shirt and if you hit the gold tier, you’ll earn the British Guard Hat for Cutter as well as Raptor Mask for Drake and Dive Helmet for Talbot by achieving Platinum status. Use your tickets to enter into the weekly Tournament and get more information through the PS Blog.

As hinted at earlier in the week, Uncharted 3 multiplayer has gone the free-to-play route, starting later today in North America and tomorrow in Europe.

Naughty Dog has announced an extensive patch for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. Update 1.13 is due in August and contains a hefty dose of balancing and gameplay changes, with more to be revealed soon, but really the reason you care now is that for some reason the developer has marked the occasion by posting a number of never-before released remixes of the game’s score. I don’t understand it either, but whatevs, man; they’re pretty ace.

Naughty Dog has released preliminary patch noted for Uncharted 3 update 1.11 which will be released at the end of the month, which also hails the return of The Lab.

IGN has a gallery of a dozen concept sketches for puzzle elements, alternate designs and even entire environments that didn’t make the cut for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The PlayStation 3 exclusive sold like hotcakes on release last year and maintains a lively multiplayer community; the final piece of DLC arrived in this week’s PSN update.

Four new Uncharted 3 multiplayer maps will be available for download on Tuesday, April 10 on US PS Store, and the following day on the European end.

Naughty Dog has teased the final downloadable content for Uncharted 3, which is expected to release in April, by releasing a set of screenshots of two multiplayer maps: The Old Quarter and Graveyard.

Naughty Dog’s announced it’s to bring a new Shade Survival co-op mode to Uncharted 3 as of next month. There are no additional details besides a screen that teases the mode off. The developer also wheeled out a trailer for the second map pack for the game, the Flashback Map Pack, which launches today in the US. Get it below the break.

Sony has announced an update to Uncharted 3, the Fort Co-Op adventure DLC, is available and will allow players to step into the role of the villain for the first time in the series. It has also announced that the long-awaited Jak and Daxter Collection is now available for download as well.

“We never set out to make a three-part [Uncharted] series from the beginning. We have always sort of seen it as a stand-alone adventure, like you are gonna pick up any one of the games and play and out of order. It still makes sense. You can still understand the characters and the plot. Obviously, if you play the other ones, you get more out of it. I have always seen it as a single-part adventure story. We have always said that if we think that we can make something new and interesting, if the fans still want them, then we can make another one. But at this time, everyone is sort of on vacation. We’re trying to recover from the process of making it and I think we will come back together and maybe this month and next month make a decision about what we are going to do next. But we never said how many of these things there will be. There are plenty more stories in the universe. It is just a question of what’s the company interested in doing next. Naughty Dog has posted a couple videos of talks Uncharted 3 designer Richard Lemarchand has given over the past few weeks. The videos are of his keynotes at Indiecade and the Montreal International Game Summit, and can be watched through the link up top. Naughty Dog has released a couple teaser shots of Flashback Map Pack #1 for Uncharted 3 multiplayer. According to a post over on the US PS Blog, two of the maps included in the pack will be The Cave and The Fort from Uncharted 2. As you can see by the screenshots posted below, the maps have been given a bit of spit-shine. Pretty swank looking they are too. Other maps will be included in the pack, but have yet to be announced, so keep an eye out for more information soon, along with a release date.
