Andrew Wilson came on stage to talk about UFC – the fastest growing sport on the planet. Dana White who is head of the fighting series, came on stage to discuss the game with UFC fighters. Players will be able to feel the fight with Jon Jones and Benson Henderson apparently. The new MMA AI system will allow players to alter the fight as it proceeds. Players will know what it feels like to be punched in the face, thanks to the new tech which shows how the body reacts to punches and chokes. It’s out next spring.

EA Sports announced a partnership today with Xbox One, but didn’t go into details on what it was – likely it has to do with exclusive content for its UFC, NBA Live, and Madden licenses. The firm announced today that FIFA 14 Ultimate Team would launch on Xbox One exclusively, so the partnerships is likely more incentives such as this; however, the games will also be released on PS4, but whether versions for Sony’s console will also contain exclusive content remains to be seen.

We knew United Front Games had brought UFC champion George St-Pierre in to help with the development of Sleeping Dogs, but we didn’t know just how involved the martial artist was. In a new behind the scenes video courtesy of IGN, St-Pierre is shown going through animations with key development staff, tweaking small details and even play-fighting with them to brainstorm ideas. It’s pretty neat and partially explains why the combat in Sleeping Dogs feels so awesome. The open-world action epic hits in August for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

THQ has told Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter that it sold its Ultimate Fighting Championship franchise to Electronic Arts because it failed to break even on UFC Undisputed 3, which shipped 1.4 million units – 600,000 or so units short of the 2 million copies needed, reports Gamasutra. During EA’s E3 press event this week, UFC president Dana White took the stage to announce the transition of the UFC’s license to EA Sports, which will see the firm publishing multiple games, through a multi-year exclusivity deal. In the wake of the sale, THQ’s San Diego studio was shut down.

EA has signed a multi-games, multi-year exclusivity deal with UFC. THQ parted with the license for an undisclosed cash sum.

Microsoft has said it’ll improve on the service of the UFC app for Xbox 360 after severe technical issues hampered its debut last week.

Sprint to your 360s fight-fans, because the UFC app has officially gone up on Xbox Live as of today. The app will have on-demand fights available for download alongside HD pay-per-view events as well.

It will also be an interactive app that includes a fight prediction game with friend leaderboards, and fight cards. The early reviews for the app were quite positive, so if you’re into the UFC go download the app and start streaming.

UFC: Personal Trailer is out on June 28 for PS3 and Xbox 360, and to give you an idea of what to expect, THQ has released a video featuring fighter Rashad Evans talking about the game, and showing off his virtual in-game moves.
