EVE Online players can now use Twitch to stream their gameplay sessions. The streaming service has been integrated into the Neocom panel and proper overlay support and the ability to delay the stream is being looking into, providing the initial launch proves popular. Meanwhile, the EVE Online community has raised $190,890 in PLEX donations for Philippines typhoon relief, after an eight hour livecast featuring members of the EVE development doing odd things such as shaving each other and getting inked. Minecraft developer Mojang has confirmed that – unless the world implodes or something cataclysmic like that – its latest update will bring Twitch broadcasting to its blocky world of creation.

Minecraft users can now download the latest snapshot which contains Twitch interrelation. The update notes that Twitch integration is only supported on Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 as well as Mac OS X Lion 10.7 or higher. Along with Twitch, the update fixed render distances above 8 as well as “many bug fixes and optimizations.” More through the link.

PlayStation 4′s Twitch streaming options were used to host a variety of live chat shows using the console’s bundled camera app The Playroom. The broadcasting company is poised to cull any non-related gaming streams via Sony’s console after several indecent shows were halted.

Twitch is planning to add livestream archiving to PS4 in the future, and is considering the feature for Xbox One, the firm has told Joystiq. An exact date wasn’t provided, but at least its’ coming. “We find archiving to be an exciting part of the broadcast experience,” said Matthew DiPietro, Twitch’s VP of marketing.”It’s up to our partners to determine if it’s a feature set they want to offer as part of their Twitch integration.” The ability to stream gameplay sessions from Xbox One through Twitch was delayed into 2014.

Minecraft players can now use Twitch to stream their gaming sessions, as promised. Before you can start streaming, you will need to visit your Mojang account settings and link a Twitch account to your Mojang account. Some features still need to be added, and so far, it’s supported on Windows XP and higher and Mac OS X Lion 10.7 and higher. Twitch has announced that it will not release on Xbox One until sometime during the first part of 2014. You will still be able to watch streaming through the service, you just won’t be able to stream from the console.

Valve is launching Twitch integration for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and it allows spectators to earn in-game item drops simply by watching. Starting with the upcoming linked Steam account will have a chance to receive keyless DreamHack Winter 2013 Souvenir Packages. In what could perhaps be seen as the breaking of a very minimal barrier, Mojang has announced at Minecon that they will be integrating streaming to Twitch.tv into the game.

Twitch’s streamers and their viewers have raised more than $8 million dollars for various charities over the years, as part of events like Desert Bus for Hope, Speed Demos Archive’s Charity Marathons and Extra Life’s marathons. Twitch said this amount could increase exponentially with this year’s Extra Life marathon, which is due to start this weekend. Twitch says more than 4,500 broadcasters have already signed up to stream as part of the weekend.

Nvidia has announced Twitch functionality will be featured in a future GeForce Experience update, enabling ShadowPlay users to stream captured gameplay directly to Twitch. ShadowPlay is a free-to-use way to record gameplay within GeForce Experience and utilizes an on-board H.264 encoder built into GeForce GTX 600 and 700 Series graphics cards. During his Eurogamer Expo talk Microsoft Corporate Vice President Phil Harrison showed off Xbox One’s game recording features in a short demonstration of the console’s Upload Studio. Although no specifics were given as to the length of recording time available, he stated that players can record “as much or as little as they want.”
