Turok 2 was in the works, proof is in the pictures

When Disney started laying folks off back in January, there was  a rumor making the rounds that Propaganda was at work on Turok 2 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Today, it’s rumor no more.

Garrett Knights worked for Propaganda as a UI designer, and has plastered mock-ups from the shelved game all over his online portfolio.

Looks rather smashing, actually.

Adam Beach rumoured for Turok movie

According to MTV, Adam Beach is being rumoured for the lead role in the upcoming Turok movie.

“We just finished the animated movie and now we’re going into the feature film movie [which should lens] hopefully in a couple years. We’re about to set up meetings to develop a script and put it out there,” said the actor. “I’ll have to beef up, and be a good guy, and save the world!”

Turok PC dated, DLC for Live and PSN today

The PC version of Touchstone’s Turok has now been dated, and will release on April 22, in the US at least.

In addition, the Velociraptor Pack – containing five new maps – will be released on Xbox Live and PSN today. Woot.

Mario & Sonic leads UK top 10

Sega will be pleased. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games on DS is top of the UK all-formats this week, with The Club debuting in tenth position. Here’s the list:

DMC4 knocks Paradise off top of UK all-formats

Capcom will be smiling this morning at news that DMC4 has made it to the top of the UK chart, with previous number one Burnout Paradise drifting down to fourth. Turok’s also put in a decent debut performance, coming in third. And way to go PDC World Championship Darts 2008: we never knew you had it in you.

Turok developer working on action RPG

So says this, taken from a Gamasutra interview.

“Then we have a second project that’s in development,” said Propaganda boss Josh Holmes. “We haven’t made any announcements about it, but I can say that it’s an action RPG.”

Turok’s out next week in both the US and Europe, published by Touchstone.
