Sleeping Dogs 101 video educates you on gameplay features
Square has released a new video for United Front’s Sleeping Dogs. Dubbed 101, like a college course, it gives you a look at the game’s many features. Watch it below courtesy of Gematsu, which also has a set of screenshots posted. Game’s out in August.

Sleeping Dogs combat video shows lots of punching, kicking
A Sleeping Dogs trailer featuring quit a bit of punching and kicking has popped up on YouTube. It also shows a few of the upgradable combat skills. Watch it below. Game’s out in the US August 14, in Australia and New Zealand August 16, and in the UK on August 17. Thanks, AGB.

Australia and New Zealand to receive Sleeping Dogs early, extra content
Square Enix have revealed that gamers in Australia and New Zealand will receive Sleeping Dogs a day ahead of the UK, as well as an exclusive limited edition.

Hong Kong setting sold Square Enix on Sleeping Dogs

Sleeping Dogs gets live action trailer

Report: Square’s Sleeping Dogs coming out in August
According to a tweet from US retailer Future Shop, Square Enix’s shown Sleeping Dogs for the first time, confirming it for an August release.

Hirshberg: Not all studio analysis periods are “a fait accompli”
Activision publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg has said that not all studio analysis periods lead to closures, like with Bizarre, as the firm does its best to find buyers for the product like with True Crime developer United Front Games.

Square Enix to launch retitled True Crime: Hong Kong game 2012
The European Square Enix blog has given a 2012 release window for the game previously known as Truce Crime: Hong Kong.
The publisher’s purchase of the United Front-developed game – but not the rights to its title and IP – from Activision was announced earlier this week, but no launch date was set.

Acti: True Crime wouldn’t have hit “the top” of its genre
Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg has said one of the reasons True Crime: Hong Kong was canceled, was due to the firm’s belief that the actioner would not reach “the top” of its genre.

Leaked script offers insight into axed True Crime: Hong Kong
The third game in the True Crime series was planned to hit Hong Kong, focussing on Detective Wei Shen who was assigned to infiltrate the Triad. Unfortunately, the game was axed before it could be released, but this new leaked script gives a hint of just what we missed out on.

Interview – True Cime: Hong Kong associate producer George Ngo
VG247 recently caught up with Activision’s George Ngo, associate producer on True Crime: Hong Kong, to chat about the latest outing in the open-world action series.
The game has been in development for three years and is clearly inspired by Hong Kong action movies. It is incredibly fast-paced, hugely violent, and contains lots of truly fantastic swearing.
Our first impression of the game, based on the demo shown to us at a pre-E3 event in London, was that it was definitely one to watch out for when it releases later in the year.
