Red Orchestra now $5 over on Steam

redorchestra1

Remember back in October when Valve cut the price of Red Orchestra down to $5? If not, that’s OK: all weekend long you can get it again for that paltry sum.

That’s 66 percent off the original price, so if you’ve been holding out on buying Tripwire’s tactical PC shooter, now’s your chance.

As an added incentive, the game includes 44 Steam achievements and the new map, Fallen Heroes.

Doubt you’d find it cheaper anywhere else unless you did something illegal — and we know none of you would ever do such a thing.

Steam adding new map and achievements to Red Orchestra

redorchestra

Red Orchestra will be getting the Steam treatment soon by way of added achievements and a new free map called Fallen Heroes, according to this Shacknews story.

Set in the Red Square, the new content was originally planned for the initial release of the tactical FPS, but was all but forgotten about after being unceremoniously cut.

Recently, Tripwire passed handed the goods over to community map-maker Kevin “Dr Guppy” Butt, who played around with it and put it in the upcoming free release.

Full list of achievements through the jump.
