Defiance renewed for a second season by SyFy
Syfy has renewed Defiance for a second season by greenlighting 13 new episodes. Season two will begin production in Toronto in August for a 2014 premiere. The news coincides with Trion’s announcement of new content headed to the game end of Defiance, which includes five content updates for the year, with each one offering free, paid and micro-transaction items along with a new playable species on the docket.

Warface screenshots show the shooter’s campaign
Warface, the free-to-play online FPS from Crytek, has some new screenshots available below the break showing off the game’s campaign. Warface is set in the near future, developed with CryEngine 3, and contains a constantly updated PvE universe complete with multiplayer and PVP. The game will be made available in Europe and the US as well as Australia, New Zealand, and Turkey on PC through Crytek’s GFACE platform and Trion’s Red Door. A release date has not been set.

RIFT: Storm Legion beta has kicked off
RIFT: Storm Legion’s beta is going on this weekend. Beta 1: Crucia Unleashed, contains new continents, new Souls, Instant Adventures, and Dimensions to test. The beta is open to those who pre-ordered the expansion or through “select invitations,” according to TenTonHammer. RIFT – Harbinger soul detailed for Storm Legion expansion
Trion Wolrds has detailed the first of four new souls bound for RIFT in the Storm Legion expansion. Called the Harbinger and designed for mages, the melee DPS soul prefers close attacks, summoning an energy scythe or a lightning blade, and utilizes survivability. It also comes with a special armor which cuts back on casting times. The firm also mentioned a new mount nicknamed “Mr. Landslide” is on the way, and more information on it will be revealed next week.
