Iron Brigade’s project lead Brad Muir has said not to expect as many game releases back-to-back from Double Fine in 2012, as the firm plans on implementing a more “staggered release schedule.”

Double Fine has announced that Trenched, now known worldwide as Iron Brigade, will be released in Europe on November 30 for XBLA. In addition to the European release, on the same day, players who have already purchased the mech shooting and tower defense title under the Trenched name, will be updated automatically to Iron Brigade complete with new content and enhancements free of charge. The additional goodies to the game include a challenging infinite Survival Mode and ten new pieces of high-powered loot, along with a new leaderboard.

Double Fine mecha actioner Trenched’s launched in the US on Xbox Live Arcade, but has been delayed in Europe. Microsoft’s said that it’s looking to “resolve the matter as soon as possible.” Xbox Live UK Editor Dan Maher said in a tweet that the official line was “Unexpected challenges with distribution in some European regions.’ Shouldn’t take long!”
So hold back the MS points yet, EU massive.

Double Fine tower defense actioner Trenched will release on June 22 on Xbox Live Arcade, a new video for the game has confirmed. The clip, tweeted by Double Fine boss Tim Schafer just now, shows off the opening cut-scene of the game, where you have to fight off Monovision using mech-like robots. Double Fine’s put out the first developer diary of its Microsoft-published XBLA title Trenched. The video shows some of the main developers on the project talking about it, as well as showing some captured gameplay from the tower-defense shooter. Get it below, via D’Toid.
