A group of 329 UK students broke the world record for largest game jam, overcoming the previous record by 29 people.

UK-based Commando Kiwi chosen as Make Something Unreal winner during Gadget Show Live
The winner of Epic Game’s Make Something Unreal contest during Gadget Show Live 2012 has been announced as UK developer Commando Kiwi. The team bested three other groups in the finals and walked away with a full commercial licence for Unreal Engine 3 with its iOS game The Warlock of Firetop Mountain: Lost Chapters. All of the games created based on the Fighting Fantasy titles over the weekend will be released via the App Store in within the next few weeks. Thanks, Eurogamer.

Make Something Unreal mentors discuss how to get started, gaming’s future
Epic and Train2Game are at Gadget Show Live 2012, which is going on in Birmingham, UK until April 15, where four start-up studios are creating iOS games based on Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson’s Fighting Fantasy series of role-playing books. Games industry legends to judge Epic’s Make Something Unreal Live

Epic secures iOS rights to Fighting Fantasy games
Epic and Train2Game have secured the rights for the iOS games of Make Something Unreal Live, to be based on the Fighting Fantasy series of role-playing books created by Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson. New iOS games based on the adventure books will debut at Gadget Show Live 2012.

Epic Game Jam competition winners announced for Make Something Unreal Live
Winners of the Train2Game and Epic Game Jam, a 48-hour event held the first weekend in November, have been selected, with the teams behind the three top iOS apps along with a fourth team to participate in Make Something Unreal Live.
