Bulletstorm “revenge” trailer looks obscene, obscenely fun

Epic’s dropped a new Bulletstorm trailer in anticipation of today’s demo, and it’s about as grim and serious as shooters come – for roughly ten seconds. Then the phrase “pucker your butthole” gets casually kicked into the conversation, and after that, it’s Bulletstorm 101.
You know the drill: bullets gleefully flying where the sun don’t shine, limbs detaching thanks to the gentle tickle of a spring breeze, and curse word usage so creative that it might have unknowingly created the next great movement in poetry. Check out the full thing after the break, courtesy of GameTrailers.

Battlestar Galactica Online trailer drips nerdnip

There was a time when the natural death of a much-loved sci-fi series inspired cosplay, conventions, and fan fiction, as aching hearts poured their love into keeping ficitonal universe alive.
Now we just play the MMO, amirite. Check out this trailer for BigPoint’s Battlestar Galactica Online.

First Rodea the Sky Fighter trailer

Everything Sonic creator Yuji Naka turns his hand is a thing we want to put under the microscope, or perhaps on the altar. The first trailer for the recently detailed Rodea the Sky Fighter is here, and while the characters may speak Japanese the game itself is talking pure boner.

The attraction of virtual sports for me is correcting history. To go back and win the key match that doomed the season. To make the play that your star player fumbled. To ensure those legendary perfect games – every game.
The latest trailer for MLB 2K11 plugs right into that die-hard-fan section of the brain. Check out the Perfect Game through the jump.

Uncharted 3 extended debut trailer is old meets new meets more old

We’ll be upfront with you: this Uncharted 3 CES trailer is largely extremely charted territory. But if you fast-forward to the very, very end, you’ll find a few tiny morsels of brand new eye candy. Jumping! Water! Hallways! But it’s all very nice looking and will make the long wait until November almost imperceptibly more bearable. Watch it after the break, courtesy of Gametrailers.

Former Henry Hatsworth devs release first trailer of Monster Tale

Platforming and pet-rearing may sound like an odd combo, but it’s not like Henry Hatsworth set a precedent for normalcy. What it did do, however, is start a trend toward excellence – one that newly formed studio Dreamrift hopes to continue with its upcoming DS action-platformer, Monster Tale.
In a nutshell, the game sees you turn your adorable monster pal Chomp into a tear-fueled engine of destruction while using his ever-evolving powers to access new non-linear areas. So basically, it sounds like Castlevania mixed with Pokemon and a hint of those plastic keychain virtual pets we… er, we mean, kids used to love.
Better still, it looks absolutely fantastic in action. This one caught us by surprise, but it’s definitely one to watch. Check out the trailer after the break, courtesy of GameTrailers.

First nine minutes of Prince of Persia Trilogy HD show off sharp swords, sharper graphics

Gotta hand it to the prince: he cleans up really nicely. Oh sure, he’s still a scruffy ne’er do well at heart, but he doesn’t look like he’s smeared himself with Vaseline anymore. And what’s that smell? Is that a hint of… lavender? Oh, never mind. That’s just the gas leak in our house again. See, ever since it started, we’ve been able to see smells. Also, shadowy figures holding daggers to our throats. But oh, look at us, we’re rambling again.
Catch the first nine minutes of Prince of Persia Trilogy HD after the break!

New Last Story trailer puts emphasis on the “story” part

It’s been months since we last saw hide or improbably spiky hair of Hironobu Sakaguchi’s The Last Story, but the Wii RPG’s finally back – and it’s still looking so pretty that other Wii titles may as well be running on Etch-and-Sketches. The eye candy du jour? A heaping helping of cut-scenes.

Full Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright trailer is the most implausible thing you’ll ever see

So there’s this girl who looks like Little Red Riding Hood, and she’s a witch. Or maybe she’s not a witch. Anyway, Professor Layton – who we still say looks like a Lego man – starts accusing her, only for Phoenix Wright to show up and point his finger with such fiery intensity that Layton reconsiders. We think. And then they go on adventures, and Little Red Riding Hood gets chased by the KKK.
So basically, this looks incredible. Check out the first trailer after the break, courtesy of the official Layton vs. Wright website.

New Black Ops story trailer refuses to hand you a medal of honor

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: you drag yourself out of bed each day, work yourself to the bone at the office from dusk ’til dawn, and what do you have to show for it? Not a single soul recognizes that whatever stupid, probably pointless thing you do is a needed service!
As evidenced by a brand new story trailer, Call of Duty: Black Ops is kind of like that. Only, you know, with a couple more explosions, we guess. Catch it after the break, courtesy of GameTrailers.
