ManiaPlanet 2.0 now in alpha

According to the ManiaPlanet blog, Nadeo’s second iteration on the ManiaPlanet service has gone into alpha. The online tech will be the backbone of the Shootmania, Trackmania and Questmania families, and the developer is already priming users with the knowledge they’ll need to build the franchise’s celebrated user generated content with the new toolset. TrackMania 2: Canyon to release on September 14

Fresh off it’s beta date drop last night, Ubisoft has announced TrackMania 2: Canyon will be released on September 14. The beta starts August 17, and if you pre-order the game for $24.99 or £19.99, you’ll have instant access to all sorts of goodies. Closed beta for TrackMania 2 Canyon coming in July

Ubisoft has announced a closed beat for TrackMania 2 Canyon will start in July, which will also mark “the beginning of ManiaPlanet,” a networked gaming system for PCs with tools for community-based game creation and participation.

Trackmania 2 announced, videoalised

Nadeo’s announced Trackmania 2 at a Paris event; get shakycam of the reveal after the break.

It’s going to involve tracks and cars. It looks pretty. Doesn’t appear to contain too many shocks from the movie.

It’s out next year for PC.
