Sega has announced that The Creative Assembly’s strategy title Total War: Rome 2 has sold over 800,000 units since launch. The news was revealed as part of the firm’s earnings report for the six-month period ending September 30.

Total War: Rome 2 is has broken records by being the most pre-ordered title in the series’ history, SEGA has announced. There’s also an unboxing video – of sorts – for the Collector’s Edition below as well.

Total War: Rome 2 has a new video out showing the first look at in-game footage of the strategy title from The Creative Assembly. A full battle walkthrough is promised soon. Game’s out on PC in 2013.

Total War: Rome 2 developer The Creative Assembly, has released a new behind-the-scenes trailer featuring director Will McGregor discussing the creation of the game’s live-action trailer The Faces of Rome. Watch below, as he describes his and developer’s vision regarding Roman history. Total War: Rome 2 is out on PC next year.
